The month of Ramadan is about to start in Turkey amid difficult economic conditions experienced by the Turkish people in general and the Arab residents in particular.

Opinions of residents varied about the significant rise in the prices of commodities and raw materials. These opinions included; the depreciation of the Turkish Lira against the dollar, and the war in Ukraine which interrupted the import of some materials, especially flour and oil.

Some shop owners pointed out that the demand for purchases this season is poor compared to last Ramadan.
