Commemorating World Health Day in Baghdad under slogan “Our Planet Our Health”

The World Health Organization commemorates World Health Day and its 30th anniversary since the establishment of the Iraq office.

The ceremony was attended by the Iraqi Health Minister and many representatives of Arab and foreign countries. Iraq dealt with several waves of the COVID-19 variant according to WHO statistics.

The Ministry of Health is working to improve health services by opening hospitals across different governorates, providing them with modern medical equipment and increasing the number of beds in some hospitals.

The Health Minister mentioned the Ministry’s intent to implement health insurance to improve services and shift Iraq’s healthcare system.
