Amman hosts Arab Ministerial Committee emergency meeting

The Arab Ministerial Committee that deals with Israel’s illegal actions in Jerusalem held its emergency meeting today in capital Amman as per the invitation from Jordan, which is heading the committee.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the dangerous situation in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to put a stop to the escalation and restore peace.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of The Arab League. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi emphasized Arab and Islam’s stance on the historic and legal status in Jerusalem, stressing the need to stop the escalation.

The Secretary-General of The Arab League suggested sending letters of protest to the UN and EU explaining Israel’s escalation in Jerusalem and Arab world’s stance against it. This is the fourth meeting held by the committee that was formed by The Council of the Arab League last year.
