After talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, in the presence of senior officials from both sides, Jordan’s King Abdullah II said that Jordan will always support the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people.

The king stressed that the region can only enjoy security and stability through a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, based on the two-state solution, in a manner that guarantees the establishment of an independent, sovereign Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

He pointed out the need to stop all unilateral Israeli measures, especially in Jerusalem, and called for an opportunity to achieve comprehensive and lasting peace.

The Palestinian President emphasized that Palestine and Jordan are one people, with the same interests, concerns, pains, and hopes, praising Jordan’s firm stances in support of the rights of the Palestinians and their just cause.
