Iraqi female climbers brave Kurdistan mountain tops

Iraqi woman, Beyman Taha, created a group of climbers named after the Hazar Merd including a majority of women.

Despite criticism, the 30-member group formed in Sulaymaniyah seeks to encourage others to practice hiking and climbing which are popular in Kurdistan. The group has organized more than 400 activities so far.
