Marking International Women’s Day, Palestinian women organized a sit-in outside the Red Cross headquarters in Gaza, calling on the world and the international community to take action to help end the suffering of Palestinian female prisoners in Israeli jails.

They also demanded the enactment of a law that preserves women’s rights and protects them from domestic violence and abuse.

In addition, they requested the government in Gaza and the West Bank to end the Palestinian division because of its negative impact on society and the Palestinian cause.

The protesters said that the Palestinian woman sacrificed a lot and suffered from the scourge of occupation, siege, division, and violence.
