Russia receives nine children belongs to ISIS families in Syria

The Department of Foreign Relations in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria received a Russian delegation from the Office of the Commission on the Rights of the Child headed by the Deputy Head of the Child Rights Department, Sergei Vitelis, to receive 9 orphaned children of Russian citizenship for families from ISIS, based on the conviction of both parties that Children are the victims of this war and their nations should bring them back and integrate them with their societies.

The handover was carried out according to an official agreement between Russia and the Autonomous Administration. With this process, the number of Russian children reached 244 children in 8 batches, and the Russian side expressed its readiness to welcome all Russian children.

The Autonomous Administration requested the Russian government to cooperate in this file, and the Department of Foreign Relations called on the international community to do its job properly.
