The Iraqi Federation for Industries (IFI) in Baghdad has held a symbolic “condolence gathering” to mourn the national industry in one of its time initiative to express the Iraqi businessmen community’s disapproval of the government’s approach towards national products.

Their approach is to adopt a policy of flooding the market with imported goods since 2003.

This approach has led to the suspension of hundreds of factories and caused a widespread level of unemployment in the society.

It has reached astronomical numbers after laying off the workforce.

The gatherers demanded the House of Representatives and the next government to be supportive of the national product and to build a competitive economy for its Arab and regional surroundings.
