The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), reiterated its call on the international community to step up for ISIS members detained in the Syrian Democratic Forces’ controlled areas, who pose a dangerous threat to the world.
Despite their repeated demands, officials in the administration said no serious response was brought forward.
According to legal experts, the terms of the partnership agreement between the international coalition forces and SDF forces, Qasad, would establish a joint court to try the members of the organization.
However, the financial capacity of the AANES is insufficient to conduct a trial for these detainees, especially foreigners, limiting the trial to ISIS members of Syrian nationality only.
