Most of the people of the neighborhoods near Al-Sina’a Prison in Ghweran neighborhood, southern Hasaka, fled after ISIS attacked the prison, to stay in the Musab bin Omair mosque, in the Tel Hajar neighborhood in the city center.

The residents say that the mass escape that the city witnessed for ISIS members from prison, sparked panic among people, forcing them to evacuate their homes to the safer northern areas.

They added that the fleeing ISIS members in the area had massacred several civilians, destroying homes.

The displaced people suffer from poor living conditions in this mosque, which shelters them where they lack the necessities of daily life, as they are left carrying nothing with them.

They also suffer from bad health conditions due to the chilly weather, and the place has become overcrowded with people that cannot accommodate all of these people.
