Snowfalls in Turkey Bring Joy

A rare snowstorm has blanketed swathes of Istanbul shutting down numerous roads.

Authorities in response opened main roads, and citizens are gradually returning to their normal lives.

However, citizens expressed joy despite the risks of car accidents and falling on the snow.

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation in Turkey announced resuming flights at Istanbul International Airport through one runway, after closing for several hours due to the heavy snowfalls.
