Several factors pushes the Iraqi youth to resort to illegal immigration

Although Iraq has been classified as one of the richest countries in the region for its numerous resources, opinions varied on the motivations of most Iraqi youth to consider illegal immigration and encounter risks including death. One of the guys who immigrated to Iraq stated that the motivation for immigration stemmed from a lack of hope as a result of the successive wars that impacted patriotism and if there was a genuine change, the immigrants would have returned to their countries, but it is the inequality of opportunities. According to an anthropology professor, the idea of immigration has grown since 2015 as a result of political and security conditions, and the ambition has increased recently among the youth, as they are a significant category in the society, but they lack the opportunity to prove themselves.
