According to the Governmental Emergency Committee in Gaza, the amount of poured rain was significant and harmed the infrastructure resulting in the sinking of many homes. The head of the committee, Eng. Zuhdi Al-Ghariz urged the international community to fulfill its responsibilities in terms of reconstruction and fund projects that can lessen the consequences of such weather.

The Strip is in a disastrous state with deteriorating infrastructure as a result of the recent Israeli aggression, while reconstruction has not yet begun. The torrential rains and bad weather led to the suspension of the educational process and the work on some projects.
