Power outage cripples Baghdad for more than 20 hours

The Iraqi capital, Baghdad, has been going through the worst periods of power supply with the scheduled cut-off hours reaching around twenty hours.

People use diesel generators despite their high cost amid the temperatures dropping to below zero Celsius, Media people and citizens talked about the long and never-ending struggle with the corruption file, on which ten billion dollars were spent, pointing out that the issue behind the deterioration of the energy is political rather technical, and the people pay the price.
