Gaza hosted an international conference under the name “Gaza blockade is a persistent crime” to shed light on the prolonged blockade imposed on the enclave.
During the conference, human rights activists from Gaza and outside the enclave discussed issues related to human rights which are protected by the rule of law and by international conventions.
The economic fallouts of the blockade raised the unemployment rate and led to unbearable poverty spurred by a halt in importing and exporting along with shutting down factories.
Furthermore, participants demanded the international community and organizations to pay greater attention by voicing an utter rejection of the blockage, which is a blaring breach of international laws.
