Cambodian PM’s plan to visit Myanmar remains unchanged

According to Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Koy Kuong, Prime Minister Hun Sen’s plan to visit Myanmar will still go through, as Cambodia prepares to hold diplomatic talks with the country.

Spokesman Kuong told local news, “”The plan for Samdech Techo’s (Prime Minister) upcoming visit to Myanmar has not changed,” he added, “The host country has increased security at our embassy and for our embassy officials.”

The Premier is scheduled to visit Myanmar on January 7 to January 8. This was at the invitation of the President of the State Council and the Foreign Minister of Myanmar.

The invitation was handed to Mr Hun Sen during the visit of the President of the State Council and the Foreign Minister of Myanmar, Wunna Maung Lwin, during his visit to Cambodia on December 7.
