Cambodia and Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand have spoken highly of their bilateral cooperation, especially in the military sector.

The appreciation was made in separate meetings on January 4 via videoconference between the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF), Gen. Vong Pisen, and the Chief of Defence Force of Singapore, Lt. Gen. Melvyn Ong, and the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Gen. Andika Perkasa.

Gen. Pisen and his Singapore, Indonesian and Thai counterparts also exchanged views on the armed forces’ active support for the government in the fight against Covid-19.

As RCAF will chair the 19th ASEAN Chiefs of Defence Forces’ Meeting (ACDFM-19), Gen. Pisen invited his counterparts to physically join the meeting to be held in March in Phnom Penh.
