Yemeni Civilians Rally Against Appalling Living Conditions in Taiz

Amid appalling living conditions and unprecedented plummet in the national currency’s value, crowds in Taiz demanded the government to take immediate action to overcome the economic crisis. Incensed protestors raised banners denouncing the soaring prices of food commodities. Furthermore, they signed a petition demanding basic services along with the governorate share of gas. It is worth mentioning that in the regions run by the legitimate government, the Yemeni Rial value hit an unprecedented low after the US dollar crossed the 1,700 Yemeni riyals barrier while the Saudi riyal reached 450 Yemeni riyals.
