During his meeting with Cambodian Senate President Chhum, Vietnam’s President Phuc invited Senate President Chhum to visit Vietnam anytime he saw convenient.
The meeting between the President of Vietnam, Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and Senate President Chhum took place on the afternoon of December 21. The President of the Senate, Say Chhum warmly welcomed President Phuc and his delegation.
During the meeting, President Phuc said that the people and countries of Vietnam and Cambodia have stood shoulder to shoulder and cooperated well together. From the past to the present, the two countries have cultivated good relations, friendship, solidarity, and cooperation in further development.
President Phuc added that the two countries have maintained good relations and cooperation in all fields, such as defense, security, culture, economy, and education. He continued that the trade volume between the two countries has also increased steadily.
President Phuc expressed hope for the two countries to continue to strengthen friendly relations and good cooperation in the future.
Senate President Chhum stated that through the current visit of President Phuc, the cooperation between the people and the two countries will be strengthened.
President Chhum said that Cambodia is committed to safeguarding, maintaining, and developing bilateral relations in the spirit of “good neighborliness, traditional friendship, strong and lasting cooperation in all fields.”
