To Bring life to Ar Raqqa Ancient Sites, New Lighting Poles Were Installed

In an attempt to bring life to the war-torn region of Ar Raqqa, the Directorate of Lighting and Electricity launched an initiative for installing street lighting poles. This came after the electrical system was ravaged in the war, and many fled the region. To add a touch of beauty and to reflect the site’s archeological value, the street lighting poles will be installed around the ancient wall of al Raqqa which has recently undergone restoration work.
