Public cast doubts on the seriousness of the American withdrawal from Iraq

Despite the end of hostilities, according to official announcements, the Iraqis raised doubts about what is declared regarding the approaching timing of the US forces’ withdrawal from Iraq by the end of December of this year. The majority of the Iraqi’s views agreed that the US would not leave Iraq because of the mutual interests, strategic security agreements, and Iran’s geographical proximity to Iraq which requires its existence in the region. They pointed out that the US made a mistake by withdrawing its forces from Iraq under the Obama administration, and that it does not want to repeat the same mistake.
