In Rare Phenomenon, Gravel Sandpit Turns into Lake in Lahij Governorate

In a rare scene, a gravel sandpit was turned into a lake in one of the most drought-prone areas in the Lahij Governorate. A resident in the area was digging when springs of freshwater burst out to form a lake. The new lake became a tourist destination for visitors, who were eager to see the unusual phenomenon while others came to swim. In this respect, civilians called on the local authorities to utilize the new freshwater that would contribute to upscaling the agricultural sector in the drought-plagued area.
