Foreign Minister meets Cuban Ambassador
On December 24, Minister of Foreign Affairs B. Battsetseg received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Mongolia Jorge Ferrer Rodriguez.
During the meeting, the two sides had an exchange of views on the development of traditionally friendly relations and expansion of cooperation and stressed the importance of ensuring the implementation of issues agreed during the 4th inter-ministerial consultative meeting held on December 15, 2021.
Foreign Minister B.Battsetseg emphasized the interest in cooperating with the Cuban side in the education and health sectors while expressing gratitude to the Cuban government for providing scholarships to Mongolian students.
The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla and expressed his commitment to work actively for expanding bilateral relations and cooperation.
The parties also exchanged information on the measures taken by the two countries against the COVID-19 pandemic and opportunities for cooperation.
