Farmers in Don Noi Don Taeng Island in the middle of the Mekong River earn at least 5,000 baht per day.
During this period, farmers grew agricultural crops along the banks of the Mekong River and dons in the Mekong River, in Nong Khai province. They have been urged to collect agricultural crops that they grew for sale in the New Year.
The price of agricultural crops has increased, especially for farmers. More than 400 families from Wiang Khai, Nong Khai, have grown many agricultural crops, including putra, eggplant, chili, and tobacco, at Don Noi Don Tang and Thailand’s don area of approximately 3,000 rai in the middle of the Mekong River.
Agricultural crops that are grown on the Don at the end of the harvest season, especially Vietnamese varieties of putra, produce large amounts of agricultural products, which farmers pack in bags weighing at least 10 kg per day, put boats across the Mekong River back to Ban Tha Mae Phueng pier.
In Phonsa, Tha Bo, Nong Khai, shopkeepers in the ground and upcountry bring cars to the rim of the port every day. Ban Tha Mae Phueng Pier is considered a high-income city for farmers as they earn 3,000 -5,000 baht per day.
Ms. Wittaporn Ratma, 20, an Udon Thani shopkeeper, said that she receives at least 3-4 tons of putra a day for sale at Muang Thong Market, where the putra at Nong Khai is almost as big as chicken eggs, non-toxic, of good quality, sweet and sour taste, delicious crisps, and very popular with consumers in both provinces and upcountry.
