Al-Mutanabbi Street in Baghdad welcomes the visitors in a new look

After several months of reconstruction campaign under the supervision and implementation of the Baghdad Municipality and according to engineering designs compatible with the building’s facades, Al-Mutanabi Street, in the heart of Iraq’s capital, Baghdad, reopened to welcome the visitors of writers and intellectuals so they witness the aesthetics of this cultural and literary landmark which is overlooking the Tigris River and is famous in Arab and international world.

According to officials in the Municipality, the project was funded by the Central Bank and the Association of Iraqi Banks, which provided a free internet network to cover this area.

The visitors of the street expressed their delight about this accomplishment, which leaves a fantastic impression on the visitor and takes them to the past.

They also demanded that the reconstruction campaigns extend to other areas of Baghdad with significant historical heritage.
