Thailand: Somdet Phra Yuppharat Thabo Hospital Organizes 3rd Annual Symposium in Orthopedic Surgery Department

Thailand – On 9-10 November 2021, Somdet Phra Yuppharat Thabo Hospital organized the Annual Symposium for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery on the Orthopedic Workshop Symposium 2021, which is held for the 3rd time this year.

The meeting focused on the surgery to treat herniated disc with a video camera and a small incision (3rd MIS – Endoscopic Spinal Surgery TCPH Winter Camp with Joinmax) under the topic “Special Regional Northeastern Endoscopic Spine Surgery Update”.

The surgery was led by a team of specialists, including Dr. Worapoj Wien, Head of Orthopedic Department Somdej Phra Yuparat Tha Bo Hospital, Dr. Thipatai Chaichompoo, orthopedic surgeon Somdej Phra Yuparat Tha Bo Hospital, Dr. Panunan Sasiprapha, orthopedic surgeon Udon Thani Hospital and Dr. Akarawit Assawasaksakul Orthopedic surgeon Ramkhamhaeng Hospital.

The conference included a presentation on the advances and innovations in video-assisted surgery.

Also, demonstrations and practice in the operating room to approximately 50 participants from all over the country. Participants can attend the meeting and watch the operation via Zoom meeting available throughout the country.

Dr. Thipatai Chaichompoo, an orthopedic surgeon at Somdet Phra Yuparat Hospital Tha Bo, said that this meeting is organized to increase the learning potential of small incision spine surgery Laparoscopic, build relationships between inviting orthopedic doctors and a doctor who is interested in treating spinal surgery, promote the knowledge of the quality of treatment, and increase medical skills and enhance learning for the benefit of recommending the best course of treatment to patients.
