A raid on a villa In Phnom Penh is reported to have led to the arrest of more than 10 Chinese nationals.
The raid took place yesterday at around 4.20 PM at a condominium building located along Street 261 in Sangkat Toek Laak I, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh.
The Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Tuol Kork District Police Force, raided the building and arrested a number of people, who have been reported in Chinese media to be Chinese citizens.
It is not immediately clear what the purpose of the raid was, but it is the latest in a series of high profile raids on addresses in the capital – including the rescue last week of 99 Thai workers who were tricked and forced to work illegally in Phnom Penh by a Chinese gang.
