Qamishli Youth Forum to Promote Dialogue and Discuss the Region’s Future
For three days, PÊL Organization held the Youth Forum, in its sixth edition, in the city of Qamishli under ‘Peace, Sharing and Harmony’ title, where the youth had a window to discuss several key topics about the future of the region in the north and east Syria, such as youth and public affairs, the social contract, youth, and environment, and hate speech, as they highlighted some success stories in the region. The forum is considered a fruitful dialogue platform between the youth themselves on the one hand and on the other hand between the youth and the actors in society, such as authority’s officials, notables, clan dignitaries, clerics, politicians, and others. The forum was attended by a full spectrum of the region’s young people, including Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, and Yazidis, and other different regions in the Syrian Jazirah (Upper Mesopotamia), as the previous forums and their outcomes were also discussed.
