Gaza Refugees Demand Sustainable Support for UNRWA

Wednesday, In a sit-down organized by Palestinian factions and the Joint Committee for Refugees, in front of the UNRWA headquarters in Gaza, Palestinian refugees in Gaza Strip demanded the donors conference of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), that is planned to be held on the 16th of this month, in Brussels, to provide sustainable funding for the agency, and called on the world countries to assume their responsibilities and support the UNRWA budget, by providing financial commitments to form sustainable funding that would enable the agency to overcome the diversity and crises it goes through. The participants also warned against all attempts of political blackmail against UNRWA, which poses a direct threat to the Palestinian refugee issue.
