Police in Battambang province have beefed up patrols along the border in an effort to prevent an increased illegal crossing into Thailand.
The patrols were conducted amid reports that migrant workers have sneaked across the border.
The patrols were ordered by provincial police chief Major General Sath Kimsean.
Officers have been dispatched to patrol along 50 targeted areas along the border in Battambang province so that brokers could be intercepted and arrested, police said.
