Appeal Court Rejects Teachers' Syndicate Dissolve Case

The Jordanian Court of Appeal decided to reject the lawsuit for dissolving the Jordanian Teachers Syndicate Council in the case against the Syndicate with the case known as ‘Homeland Donation’ when the council had donated 500,000 JD to the previous government to help confront COVID pandemic. This rejection response comes as with a final judicial decision that the Teachers’ Syndicate council is considered legitimate and representative council of all teachers in Jordan, and with this decision, it returns to fully exercising its role. Jordanian Teachers Syndicate is facing several cases against it, including the issue of the publication that called for escalation and the establishment of sit-ins, and another issue related to Syndicate member’s health insurance.
