‘The Roots’ Heritage Festival Kicks off

In its twenty-eighth edition and its second digital version through social media platforms, Culture and Free Thought Association launched ‘The Roots’ Heritage Festival, with the participation of Arab singer Lutfi Bushnaq – 2021 festival’s ambassador. Bushnaq, who opened the festival’s activities on Palestine Plains Song, said, “We meet today to confirm that the justest cause on earth is the Palestinian cause. I wanted to be a mirror of it and have my hands open for it”. A group of plastic artists, musicians, folkloric bands, and Arab participants will participate in the festival this year that will reflect their artistic products in a friendly and interactive way from the heritage of ancestors in various aspects of life through live performances, documentary films, and photographic galleries that will be broadcasted online, and the festival aims to deliver a message about preserving the Palestinian identity and heritage and to ensure that it is faithfully passed to the younger generations to deepen their belonging to their roots and raise awareness and importance of preserving and adhering to their heritage.
