Fishermen in different provinces in Cambodia along the Mekong River to Stung Treng Province suffer from the difficulty of fishing due to the decline in fish, after the inauguration of the Se San II Dam, four years ago, which directly and significantly affected the economic returns of many fishermen who spend long hours to get only about three kilograms of fish, not enough for personal needs after they were fishing them to sell in the markets. One of the fishermen says that the amount of fishing has decreased by more than 70%, which is not enough to meet their needs, adding that getting 20 kilograms requires approaching the dam, and then additional taxes must be paid to the local government.
