COVID-19: Phnom Penh Governor urges ‘more attention to reach reopening in all areas soon’
Khuong Sreng, Governor of Phnom Penh, has urged the 14 district authorities to pay more attention to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in order to reach reopening in all areas soon.
The Governor’s plea was made on a Monday, October 11, 2021, meeting with the 14 district authorities, relevant departments, and competent forces under the administration of Phnom Penh at Phnom Penh Capital Hall.
The Governor said that, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Phnom Penh Capital Administration has introduced a number of new policies, such as showing COVID-19 vaccination cards or immunization cards, or immunization certificates at all times when entering and leaving educational institutions, markets and business locations in Phnom Penh.
The 14 district authorities must implement this work effectively.
His Excellency believes that if we do this work well and firmly, it will reduce the spread of COVID-19 further.
The Governor of Phnom Penh also expressed his appreciation to the 14 Khan authorities, relevant working groups, all groups of doctors, who have been nicknamed the White Army’ for their care, as well as all the competent forces who have dedicated their physical and mental strength to work day and night to prevent the spread of COVID-19 disease.
Namely, our authorities and forces have implemented well in accordance with the recommendation of Samdech Techo Hun Sen, the Prime Minister, to preserve the lives of the people.
Please be informed that according to the instruction No. 027/21 dated October 05 of the Phnom Penh Capital Administration has made additional instructions to the people, the management of educational institutions, the market committee, the business owners, the location owners, the business owners, the private sector and the public are obliged to present COVID-19 vaccination card or immunization cards or immunization certificates every time they go to school, market and business locations in Phnom Penh.
