The Cambodian passport has further dropped down the rankings, a new report revealed.
Cambodia obtained 53 points in the latest Henly Passport Index, dropping it by seven places to 95th in the world. The rankings are based on the number of countries a passport-holder can visit visa-free. The latest rankings were released two days ago.
Four months ago, the Kingdom ranked 88th out of 193 countries.
This is more bad news for business travellers, tourists and other people in a country that already has one of world’s least powerful passports. Cambodians have visa-free access to 53 countries, most of them in Asia, Africa and Oceania.
Singapore, which is in the same spot as Japan, continues to have the most powerful passport in Southeast Asia and in the world, followed by Germany, South Korea, Finland, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Austria and Denmark.
In the region, Singapore is followed by Malaysia (13th in the world), Brunei (23rd), Thailand (72nd), Indonesia (78th)and the Philippines (83rd). Vietnam (95th) is tied with Cambodia, while Laos (99th) and Myanmar (102nd) have the least powerful passports in Southeast Asia.
