After the country was exposed to a third wave of the pandemic and a high deaths toll, the first oxygen factory was opened in Aden, southern Yemen, with the support of Kuwait and at a cost of about half a million dollars. According to the advisor of the Minister of Local Administration and the coordinator of the Higher Relief Committee, Jamal Balfakih, the factory comes with European specifications, will produce 360 oxygen cylinders per day, and will greatly reduce the suffering of patients, as it will supply hospitals in the temporary capital of Aden, Yemeni governorates, and health centers with high-purity oxygen as well.
