PM: ‘Vaccines alone are not enough’ to fight COVID in Cambodia

Prime Minister Hun Sen has reiterated that vaccines alone are not enough to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in Cambodia.

Speaking in a voice message released today, the PM answered the question posed by many Cambodians – why is COVID still spreading in Cambodia despite the high vaccination rate – which is now higher than France, USA, UK, Germany and many western countries.

The PM stressed that Cambodians must follow health guidelines laid down by the Royal Government – particularly the ‘3 does and don’ts’ – saying.

‘As I have said, vaccines alone are not enough. Vaccines only reduce the risk of infection and, once infected, reduce the progression of the disease and reduce mortality.

But health measures are measures to be taken, which we often simply say – the 3 does and don’ts’.
