Missing child after boat caught in storm

A 47-year-old fisherman and his 14-year-old son were out in Preah Sihanouk’s seas to fish while a strong storm suddenly hit over the sea causing the waves to grow bigger.

The waves caused the boat, in which they were sailing, to capsize on September 14. The father managed to come to shore safely, but the son is still missing. Local authorities are searching for the son.

Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police joined other teams in the searching process using various means of water transportation.
