DMI Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), Host Broadcaster of Expo 2020 Dubai, has chosen Eurovision Services to provide daily live satellite transmissions from the event on the Eurovision Global Network.
Eurovision Services will kick off six months of free live satellite transmissions for broadcasters worldwide with the Expo 2020 Dubai Opening Ceremony on Sept. 30, 2021. The live transmissions will then continue every day throughout the event from Oct. 1, 2021 until March 31, 2022.
The global reach of the Eurovision Services distribution platform, which is used to provide broadcast services to the world’s biggest live events, will ensure that broadcasters in the 192 nations represented at Expo 2020 Dubai, can receive live signals whether they are in the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, Asia-Pacific or Europe.
“We are pleased to announce the alliance between DMI, Host Broadcaster of EXPO 2020 Dubai UAE, and Eurovision Services as the chosen World Feed distributor,” says Rashed Amiri, Deputy CEO of Channels Affairs, Dubai Media (DMI).

Dubai Expo 2020 is one of the biggest events in the history of the UAE. After it first was held in London, it is finally coming to Dubai, one of the world’s most vibrant cities.
The global mega-event will now run from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022. Dubai will host the World Expo 2020 for 173 days, each day bringing new experiences. It’s going to be fun and also a time to create, collaborate and innovate. It’s time for everyone to be part of one of the most awaited events in Dubai.
