Governor of the Capital City and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city D.Sumiyabazar on Monday held a meeting with local representatives of the culture and arts institutions as well as restaurants and bar owners in the capital city, to issue a decision based on the demands of local culture and arts institutions, tourist camps, food production services, and karaoke lounge owners.
The following decision was made based on the demands of local culture and arts institutions, tourist camps, food production services, and karaoke lounge owners, reports the Press Relations Department of the Governor’s Office of the Capital City.
According to the Press Relations Department of the Governor’s Office of the Capital City, starting from October 1, all types of events and services offered by culture and arts institutions in the capital city will be permitted to resume with a cap of 50 percent capacity.
More specifically:
- All types of performances and events organized by culture and arts institutions will be allowed to resume from October 1, provided that the institutions are equipped with proper ventilation systems, enough space for social distancing, and its artists and performers are able to adhere to infection prevention guidelines. Seating capacity will also be capped at 50 percent.
- Event halls will be allowed to organize seated receptions, conferences, and seminars, provided that they are equipped with ventilations systems and adhere to disinfection and sterilization regulations as well as infection prevention guidelines.
- Karaoke lounges that meet the requirements to follow infection prevention guidelines will be allowed to reopen from October 1, with a cap of 50 percent capacity. The requirements include being equipped with ventilation systems and the appropriate equipment for disinfecting and sterilizing karaoke rooms as well as its microphones, alongside having sufficient disposable microphone covers for all customers.
The aforementioned institutions and entities will be allowed to operate until midnight.
