Observers: Women’s jobs in Afghanistan fluctuate between rejections and compliance with Islamic Sharia
Observers note that the future of women’s jobs in Afghanistan is controlled by the Taliban’s decisions, which are moving towards imposing the application of Islamic Sharia in dealing with them, in light of the Taliban’s control over the joints of the state, especially since the movement has not yet decided the system of government and its representatives in the future. They added that there are two points to discuss; the Taliban’s speeches and their practical actions. In turn, a leader in the Taliban movement, Ruhollah Omar, stated that the Taliban has fought for 20 years to implement Islamic Sharia and will implement it, whereas Omar stressed that the movement has no objection to women’s work within Islamic Sharia, pointing out that the Taliban leaders confirm that the next government will decide the work of women.
