The JHCO (Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation) said in a statement that the plane was carrying medicines and medical supplies to be delivered to the concerned authorities in Lebanon.
Hussein Al-Shibli, the Secretary-General of the JHCO, said that in implementation of the royal directives, contact was made with the Jordanian Ministry of Health to secure medical supplies and to coordinate with the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, to secure the dispatch of the aid plane.
Since the Beirut port incident, the JHCO has sent five planes loaded with relief aid, generators, food and medical supplies, as well as medicines.
Sunday, at least 28 people were killed in northern Lebanon when a fuel truck exploded in Akkar.
