Seventeen citizens of Myanmar, including one child, were seen by a 4th soldier patrol on Sunday evening seen coming up from the Moei River near Ban Wang, Takhian Tai in Tambon Tha Sai Luat. They were all soaked after crossing the river by boat and landing on the Thai side in pouring rain. There were 12 men, four women and one child. They did not have any travel documents. All have passed an initial state of health. They admitted crossing the river that marks the border and entering Thailand illegally to look for work, police said. They were handed over to the Mae Sot Immigration Service for execution.
