New textbook project for children affected by severe weather conditions-Ministry of Education

Education Ministry Secretary Professor Kapila Perera said Education Minister Professor L. Peiris plans to start a program to provide new school books to children who have lost their school books due to bad weather. Media in Colombo on August 6th, 2021 Professor Kapila Perera stated that after the affected children reported their situation to the director of their school, the director will inform the Ministry of Education through the department and zone directors. The deadline for submitting applications for children in first grade for 2022 has been extended to one month from June 30, 2021 due to the prevailing epidemic situation in the country.
