Baked goods prices could rise in Sri Lanka

Baked goods prices could rise if the government gives large flour importers permission to raise their prices, said Ceylon Bakery Owners Association (ACBOA), President N. Jayawardene said about The price for wheat flour: “Wheat flour companies have made several inquiries.”

“It’s too early to predict they won’t get that approval, ”he said.

The recent hike in fuel prices has also affected the way their baked goods are madedue to the price hike.
