Food and basic goods prices in Taiz, southern Yemen, have risen by more than 35%, casting a shadow over the tough living conditions of millions of people in the besieged city by the Houthis and as Eid ul-Fitr is approaching, the prices have risen in the country‘s largest population at a time when the majority of people can no longer afford their next meal, while the Eid clothes and sweets are no longer valuable to many of them.
