After health officials reported 9,072 new survivors on Sunday, the number of people recovering from Covid-19 in the country rose to 966,080. The latest data from the Department of Health (DOH) shows that among 1,054,983 infected people, the recovery rate reached 91.6%. There were 8,343 new infections, bringing the total number of active cases to 72,472. Among active cases, about 94.7% were mild, 1.9% were asymptomatic, 1.4% were severe, 0.30 were moderate, and 1.1% were normal and critical.77 new deaths were also recorded, bringing the death toll to 17,431, or 1.65% of all cases. Data released on April 30 also showed that 16% of the 45,395 people tested tested positive for Covid-19. The total number of cases, of which 11 recovered and 1 died. In addition, after the final screening, the 32 cases previously marked as cured were classified as fatal.
