Zahid claims audio clip to be a political ploy and denies the phone call with Anwar after the general assembly

Kuala Lampur: an audio clip of a phone conversation between the UMNO President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Parti Keadilan Rakyat chief Anwar Ibrahim after the general assembly has gone viral that Zahid denies to have had.

Ahmad Zahid says that the audio clip is an evil and disgusting political ploy, stating that he is very disappointed and shocked to have heard that such a clip has been circulating. Bagam Datul MP stresses the fraudulence of the matter and claims it to be one of many ploys to weaken and destroy the UMNO

Zahid stated during the general assembly speech that no discussions or work were to be had with Mr. Anwar, the Democratic Action Party or Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia in the next general election. He also mentioned that the only negotiations to be had would happen after the UMNO regains dominance after the general election.

He vowed in his statement given on Tuesday to stay true to all decisions made by the UMNO supreme council and the UMNO general assembly. He has ordered his officers to open an investigation to find who might be the mastermind behind this scheme
