Mongolians split up over taking the Chinese vaccine

Mongolians were split up over the Chinese vaccine as some supported receiving it while others rejected, whereas a number of them, during a protest, in the capital Ulaanbaatar, voiced their refusal to take the Chinese vaccine of Covid-19, raising banners reading “We are not animals” and “Test and the vaccine is a business”, demanding the Mongolian authorities to stop distributing the Chinese vaccine due to their lack of confidence in it, on the other hand, a large number of citizens continue to take the Chinese vaccine in health centers, especially the elderly. Meanwhile, the Mongolian Foreign Affairs Minister, B. Battsetseg, said during a press conference with Chinese Ambassador Chai Wenrui: “In this difficult time, our strategic partner, The people’s republic of china, has donated 300,000 doses of the vaccine in February. Today, we are receiving the first batch of the Sinopharm vaccine that we have purchased and we are in talks to purchase the next batch of vaccines. We are certain we will receive the vaccine soon.”
