At the plenary meeting of Antiquity on April 8, the Mongolian Congress approved an amendment to the government’s special purpose fund law.
According to the Congressional Budget Information Office, these changes now provide a regulatory framework for establishing Children’s Fund to support the development and protection of children and their participation.
On December 30, 2020, the Mongolian government approved the re-establishment of the UNICEF. The purpose of the fund is to provide funding for projects that build places for children and youth development, such as children’s libraries, children’s theaters, and cultural and sports facilities. Ukhnaa promised that the government will supplement the fund with 10 billion Mongolian Tugrik.
